Inbound Labeling Requirements
Proper labeling of your inbound shipments ensures fast and accurate receiving. Mislabeled or unlabeled cartons may be held for inspection and can delay your inventory going live.
Carton Labels
Every carton must have a visible label on the outside that includes:
- Your company name or account name.
- ASN number or purchase order number.
- SKU(s) contained in the carton.
- Quantity of units inside.
- Carton number (e.g., "1 of 10", "2 of 10").
Pallet Labels
For palletized shipments, each pallet must be labeled with:
- Your company name.
- ASN number.
- Total number of cartons on the pallet.
- Destination warehouse location.
Product-Level Barcodes
All products must have a scannable barcode (UPC, EAN, or custom SKU barcode) on each unit. If your products do not have barcodes, YouParcel can provide a labeling service at an additional cost. Contact your account manager to discuss.
Hazardous or Regulated Products
Products classified as hazardous materials (batteries, aerosols, flammable liquids, etc.) must be labeled in compliance with DOT, IATA, or IMDG requirements as applicable. Notify your account manager before sending regulated products.
