Inventory Sync and Troubleshooting

Inventory Sync and Troubleshooting

Inventory levels between YouParcel and your sales channels are synchronized automatically via the integration. This article helps you understand how the sync works and how to resolve common issues.

How Inventory Sync Works

When an order ships, the allocated units are deducted from on-hand inventory. The updated count is then pushed to your connected sales channel, adjusting the available quantity visible to customers. Sync frequency depends on the integration type but is typically near real-time for order deductions and batched (hourly or daily) for full inventory snapshots.

Common Sync Issues

  • Overselling: If your sales channel shows higher stock than what is available at YouParcel, check for SKU mismatches or a sync delay. Submit a ticket immediately if you are seeing oversells on live orders.
  • Inventory not updating after receiving: New inventory typically becomes available for sync within 2 business days of receiving confirmation. If counts are still not updating after this window, submit a ticket.
  • Wrong SKU mapping: If inventory is updating the wrong product on your storefront, there is likely a SKU mismatch. Provide a mapping table to your account manager to correct it.

Forcing a Manual Sync

If you need an immediate inventory refresh on your storefront (for example, after a large receiving event), contact your account manager or submit a ticket requesting a manual sync trigger.
